dos2unix software package provides convert text file line endings between CRLF and LF, you can install in your Debian 8 (Jessie) by running the commands given below on the terminal,
$ sudo apt-get update $ sudo apt-get install dos2unix
dos2unix is installed in your system.
Make ensure the dos2unix package were installed using the commands given below,
$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep dos2unix *
You will get with dos2unix package name, version, architecture and description in a table
